Tibet, Monastère de Densatil. Début du XVe siècle vers 1408. High-relief plaque from Stupa Tashi Gomang featuring four tantric goddesses of Jouissance adorned with jewels. Each of their four hands holding various ritual instruments or forming mudras, their heads crowned and haloed by a scarf. The upper part of the frieze is topped with a sinuous garland, under which two engraved characters identify the plaque's position on the building. At the bottom, a row of ten lotus leaves underlined by a frieze of pearls. Mercury-gilded bronze with colored stones and turquoise highlights. Dimensions : 38 x 35 cm. Weight: 9.2 kg. Provenance : Collection of Mr. and Mrs. "G". Acquired at the Louvre des Antiquaires in Paris, Galerie Slim Bouchoucha, July 15, 1998. With certificate of authenticity by Jean Lostalem.
